Introduction

I first read about the idea of Photoreading a few months ago on StevePavlina.com. I wasn't quite interested in this technique until recently though. Two days ago I got myself a book - The PhotoReading Whole Mind System by Paul Scheele. He's the author of the Paraliminal tapes collection as well. In the first chapter of the book the author mentions reading at the rate EXCEEDING PAGE PER SECOND. This totally blew up my mind.

I finished reading the yesterday and tried the techniques out by photoreading the very same book. The level of comprehension wasn't out of ordinary but it made me certain that the ideas work. I just felt that something has happened. I knew that I learned.

I immediately decided to master this technique. From today on, I'll use at least once per day. I'll be open to new ideas and be creative, as photoreading doesn't only relate to reading as the name could suggest. It can help me with anything that has something to do with pulling information out or learning.

The general idea of photoreading is to let the information flow directly into your subconscious mind. It's analyzing capabilities are much greater then the ones of your conscious mind. You just relax, state your purpose for the reading, get into the relaxed state of mind and start flipping the pages without focusing your sight at specific words or letters. You just gaze at the book. Once you're done, you wait several hours and pick the book again. You ask questions you need and look for the information in the book. If you did everything right, you should subconsciously know where to look. The detailed description of the technique is to be seen in the manual, it's pretty hard to explain it in several sentences. I just put the general idea here.

I'll note any benefits I gain through this technique, any progress I make. I think I'll also measure my reading speed and the level of comprehension from time to time.

I'm going to listen to Photoreading Mastery Paraliminal from time to time. I already figured that it strongly boosts my motivation. It makes natural way of reading feel much less natural to me.
